This announcement has been a long time coming: two years of focused work on the book, plus a couple years before that of noodling with ideas, trying to find the frame for the story I wanted to write.
Today, I’m very happy to announce that THE WATER KNIFE, my next novel for adults, will be published by Knopf. It’s a story of climate change, drought, and water politics set in the American Southwest, loosely based in the same world as my short story “The Tamarisk Hunter.”
