I’m going to be at MileHiCon at the end of this month (Oct 26,27,28), doing a reading (probably from the novel in progress) and also a panel or two. That’s the good thing. I’m really looking forward to getting out of town and meeting up with various writer friends.
The bad thing is that I’m not going to be attending the World Fantasy Convention this year. A bunch of different things came together and made a perfect storm. Dropping out of the job put the squeeze on finances, and we’ve got MileHiCon and Diwali sandwiching it, which made for a hectic schedule. Also, I’d hoped to have my book done by now and since it isn’t, it’s hard to justify the trip as business. Next year, I hope it will work out better.
