I wrote a novelette last week. The interesting thing about it was that I literally had no idea what I was doing.
It was originally intended to be a sort of light-hearted romp -- with a point, mind you, but a romp, nonetheless. But one of the things that I've learned ...

I just got the final cover for Pump Six and Other Stories from the gentlemen at Nightshade:
And here's a link to the entire jacket:
I'm really excited to see the collection taking its final form. It's starting to feel real to me. Now when someone asks what I write, ...

This is embarrassing to admit, but I've discovered that the quality of my novel varies in direct proportion to how much caffeine and trashy rock I'm listening to when I read it. I just went through the last third of the book with coffee and Nickelback... and it ROCKED! ...

Tip of the hat to Lou Anders who passed me this link; they've made glow-in-the-dark cats in Korea.

That said, the holiday comes at serendipitous time because I just happen ...

Chang sent me this brilliant rendition of the Armored Magazine concept. Personally, I'd pick it up for the jet pack instructions. But I think the dorky dude sticking out through the "O" needs some cross hairs centered on his forehead. :-)
More seriously, Speclit has a series of ...

I just watched the promo video stuff for Amazon's Kindle, and I was struck by a couple of things. Kindle is obviously aimed at becoming something like the iPod of the reading experience, so it seems fair to compare the two. Quick reactions:
1) I'm really interested in Amazon's model of ...

Erin Hoffman over at Homeless Moon has an interesting post on how she would try to transcend the print paradigm for magazines. Lots of stuff to chew on. I started commenting over there, and realized I was on the verge of writing another essay.
And in _Car Accident News_, Anjula is ...
