Feeling like a winner

July 10th, 2006 | by Paolo |

I just won the Theodore Sturgeon Memorial Award for best sf short story of the year for my story “The Calorie Man.”

I’m giving myself dispensation for the next 24 hours to feel good about myself and not immediately relapse into my standard pattern of self-loathing.

As you should feel good about yourself. Loved the story. Great to meet you this weekend, and hopefully I didn’t come off too much like you with William Gibson.

Paolo, I just read The Calorie Man after receiving a copy during the conference. I enjoyed it (and your input at the conference) a great deal.

Congratulations on a well deserved honor. I look forward to following your long and successful career.

    Keith

PS: If you wish to use any of my photos of you at the Photo Archive, feel free.
